This morning I was reading Proverbs
31 about the virtuous woman. Today when I read it something caught my
eye and challenged me to a new way of thinking. Always before I
marveled at this genuinely good woman and made up my mind to imitate
her. I read about her husband but I was always so busy pondering her
goodness that I never gave him full thought. Today I stopped and
thought in depth about what verse 23 says:

Have you ever really thought about how greatly loved we are? Think about it. The Great Creator of all things sent the only son He had to this dark earth to save us. Who are we? Dusty little disrespectful children who think we know the best way to go. Who is He? A Father who greatly loves us. When I think about it I tremble and the tears come because it's an overwhelming thought to be loved so much. Thank you Heavenly Father, thank you Jesus. Help me to love.

In pics: Why is a black president a big deal?
Barack Obama's made history as America's first black president,
but why's it such a big deal he's got the top job?
In the 17th and 18th centuries hundreds of thousands of Africans were sold into slavery in America and made to work on cotton and tobacco plantations.
In 1865 slavery was abolished, but black people still didn't have equal rights and had to go to separate schools, churches, and even had to play on different footie teams.
In 1955, this woman, Rosa Parks, sparked protests by refusing to give up her bus seat to a white man - which was against the law at the time.
The protests were led by this man, Martin Luther King, who said he had a dream that one day black and white people in America would be able to come together as equals.
In 1964 the country made a huge leap forward with the introduction of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, which made it illegal to treat people differently because of their race.
But until now, the top job has always gone to a white man, so it's a huge deal for America, and the rest of the world, that Barack Obama has become president.
No one can tell me
Nobody knows,
Where the wind comes from,
Where the wind goes
It's flying from somewhere
As fast as it can,
I couldn't keep up with it,
Not if I ran.
But if I stopped holding
The string of my kite,
It would blow with the wind
For a day and a night.
And then when I found it,
Wherever it blew,
I should know that the wind
Had been going there too.
So then I could tell them
Where the wind goes...
But where the wind comes from
Nobody knows.

I have a friend. She is very smart because she has lived on this earth for 6 going on 7 years. I asked her when summer vacation starts. She was absolutely horrified that I didn't know. This was her answer:
"Summer vacation is when you go to school for 1000 days and then the very next day you stay home."
Boy do I feel dumb!
This morning I was beating up that machine called a laptop. Cowboy baby age 3 asked me why I was "doing that".
I said to him, "I 'm trying to fix it."
" He said," just push that button and point to the moon."
Now why didn't I think of that? hahaha....

My hope: one day I'm flying to Russia and getting on the Trans-Siberian Railway and I 'm going to get my princess baby from an orphanage somewhere in Siberia. My heart will be full of joy and wonder and happiness beyond measure! One day I'm flying to Russia and I'm getting on the Trans-Siberian Railway...!
