You who turn judgment to wormwood, and leave off righteousness in the earth,
Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name...

Have you ever really thought about how greatly loved we are? Think about it. The Great Creator of all things sent the only son He had to this dark earth to save us. Who are we? Dusty little disrespectful children who think we know the best way to go. Who is He? A Father who greatly loves us. When I think about it I tremble and the tears come because it's an overwhelming thought to be loved so much. Thank you Heavenly Father, thank you Jesus. Help me to love.
I was taking a stroll with the children on the path that is supposedly set aside for people to hike and bike on. Here comes a big pickup truck, two guys in it. The window slides down and one of them begins his speech Texas drawl intact. "How ya doin today Ma'am?" "Ma'am this is in a environmentally sensitive recharge zone". "This property is owned by the City of Austin." "Technically ma'am, you're trespassing." I just stood there. He went on, "Did you know there are javelina back here?" "I've heard", I replied. "Well ma'am I don't want to scare you or anything but wild hogs can be downright mean and vicious when you get one cornered." I began to think about that. Why exactly would I be cornering hogs on a fine day like that, especially while I'm trying to walk the energy out of 3 rambunctious children? He interrupted my thoughts, "Ma'am where do you live, in the neighborhood?" I wanted to say so badly, "Don't you cowboys know, I'm a part of nature?" "I live back here in this wilderness with the javelina." "They trust me." "We get along just fine!" But I didn't, I left it alone. I obliged the man. I started walking back toward "the neighborhood" as he called it. "Ma'am", he wasn't done,"I'm going to drive along to make sure you get there alright." Hmmm I thought. Well that idea didn't last long. I think the children walked too slow so he decided to go around me. I kept walking in the general direction of home and then we came upon that big truck again. The guy had gotten the truck stuck a little trying to turn it around. We waited while he got it unstuck and turned around and then he waited for us to pass. He waved as we went by because by that time he had decided to trust me to walk straight home with those slow walking children. After I arrived home I watched pickup truck after pickup truck speed up and down that designated hike an bike trail and it dawned on me, I'd been duped. I believe I happened to be walking that so-called hike and bike trail at the beginning of hog hunting season. Now I know how it's done. Set apart as much environmentally sensitive land as you can and call it a recharge zone. Make sure you make every condition right for the wildlife to multiply at breakneck speed and then let the employees of the grand city of Austin hunt hogs to their delight. But make sure you designate it as a future hike and bike trail so that no-one will ever know. Hush,Hush now this is Texas and this is hunting Texas style.
